Grade I Listed 18th-Century Church Wall Restoration
Approximately 70% of this Grade I listed 18th-century church wall was carefully rebuilt following many years of deterioration and structural damage.
To preserve the wall’s historic character and heritage status, Tofield commissioned specially manufactured bricks to match the original materials as closely as possible. Lime-based mortar was used throughout the restoration to replicate the traditional construction methods and materials used when the wall was originally built several centuries ago.
We are proud to have restored the wall to its original appearance while protecting its long-term integrity for future generations.
Tofield Ltd specialises in the maintenance, repair and restoration of heritage buildings, including churches, schools and historic properties managed by the National Trust.
